With a bright cloud services relationship, Jet Aviation is extending its Dynamic Services contract with T-Systems for a further three years.
Jet Aviation, Swiss aviation logistics and aircraft maintenance company, is staying on course with its partner, T-Systems. The company is extending its outsourcing contract with T-Systems in Switzerland for a further three years. Familiar with both virtual and real clouds, Jet Aviation benefits from its partner’s cloud services all over the world. Examples include just-in-time planning of company resources for buying, controlling, maintaining, repairing and fitting out aircraft. The advantage for the customer is that it gets its SAP services according to its needs, which can fluctuate considerably. For example, when aircraft components need to be ordered at short notice, IT capacities can be added on an ad-hoc basis. Dynamic Services boost flexibility.
SAP in the cloud
“With T-Systems’ cloud services, we can continually develop our SAP environment”, explains Andreas Haller, IT Director at Jet Aviation. By way of example, he states: “We can quickly and easily add on additional platforms according to our needs.” This could include test environments for new SAP applications, for example. “T-Systems’ know-how in SAP consulting and system integration was a decisive factor for us.” With the acquisition of Data Migration Consulting from Kreuzlingen, the company goes from strength to strength.
Jet Aviation has been a customer of the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary in Switzerland since 2007, to which it has outsourced its entire SAP infrastructure. Pierre Klatt, Managing Director of T-Systems in Switzerland, is delighted with his customer’s demonstration of confidence. “With our Dynamic Services, we are very successful in the logistics, travelling and tourism sectors”. The benefits of the T-Systems solution are clear in this respect, because these sectors require services that can adapt to seasonal fluctuations.
In addition to the 5,000 employees of Jet Aviation, T-Systems’ Dynamic Services customers also include companies such as Kuoni, DNATA and The Nuance Group.
