Sunrise and T-Systems have agreed to a global alliance with the aim of better serving multinational companies operating in Switzerland. In the future, Sunrise and T-Systems customers will be able to get their entire national and international communications requirements fulfilled by a single provider.
Sunrise and T-Systems decided to intensify their current business relationship in order to provide one stop shopping for business customers with strong international ties. The new alliance will supply seamless international integration of the Sunrise network. This is made possible by T-Systems’ own backbone in over 50 countries as well as its MPLS* connections to a total of 140 countries.
Many SMEs and large companies have selected Sunrise on the basis of its high quality yet cost effective services. Now these customers can easily extend their secure data and telephony connections worldwide using the latest internet protocol (IP) enabled data networks of both ICT service-providers. The new alliance with T-Systems will allow Sunrise to offer worldwide the same high quality services that they are offering within Switzerland. At the same time T-Systems customers will benefit from the strong Swiss network of Sunrise, which comprises over 9000 km of optical fibre backbone.
Sunrise and T-Systems have a successful history of working together to deliver demanding customer projects, but this is the first time they have agreed to interconnect their networks in order to simplify the end-to-end service delivery and support.
René Fischer (COO Sunrise Business Customers) commented: "More than 50% of Swiss companies are involved in business activities outside of Switzerland. For them, the ability to obtain a global telecommunications solution from one hand is more important than ever. In T-Systems we have found a partner with a deserved reputation for delivering solid, reliable and high quality solutions based on a worldwide network. Together we are able to meet even the most demanding needs of our customers and deliver them in a simple and integrated way".
René Mulder (Chief Sales & Services Officer T-Systems Switzerland) added: “The connection between the Swiss Sunrise network and the global T-Systems network allows us to offer seamless ICT solutions to the Swiss market. With Sunrise we share not only a successful cooperation but also the same understanding for high quality, service and performance”.
