As an international company, T-Systems is present in various health markets all over the world. A telemedicine project in the Lake Constance/Upper Swabia region for example is ensuring better care for patients with severe cardiac illnesses. The costs are borne by the health insurers involved. An interesting solution for Switzerland too.
Early recognition of risk factors, further improvement in treatment quality: To achieve this, the health insurers DAK, Barmer Ersatzkasse, BKK ZF & Partner and BKK MTU Friedrichshafen have concluded an agreement together with the Klinikum Friedrichshafen, the Hausärzteverein Friedrichshafen and the Ärztenetz Bodenseekreis for the integrated care of patients with cardiac insufficiency in the Lake Constance/Uppper Swabia region. In future the partners in the new health network want to provide care of patients with cardiac insufficiency on the basis of a telemedical monitoring system. The technology partners Philips and T-Systems have provided the "Motiva" solution for this.
Greater quality of life
Motiva enables doctors and patients' relatives to care for patients with severe cardiac insufficiency within their own four walls. The patients regularly provide data such as their blood pressure, heart rate or body weight to the clinic via their television. In this way severely ill people feel safe without having to visit the doctor or clinic every day. All they need to operate the system is a set-top box for their television, a broadband Internet connection, a digital scales and a blood pressure measuring device.
