Positive upshot at Migros Bank
January 07, 2010
All systems go at Migros Bank: The changeover to the new core banking solution succeeded without a hitch.

UnWith the support of T-Systems Switzerland, on 3 November Migros Bank switched to the core banking platform Finnova. The software is considered to be one of the most innovative modular total banking solutions. The ICT service provider is now also responsible for the operations and management of this central information technology platform.
The changeover went smoothly and T-Systems has been fully able to meet the customer’s expectations. Albert Steck, media spokesman at Migros Bank, explains: “T-Systems is operating the new banking platform with a high level of professional expertise and rapid reaction times. The specialist teams work together outstandingly.”
Experienced outsourcing partner
The project team prepared extensively for the change during 40,000 project hours with more than 200 configured systems. Since the changeover everything has been running soundly. “Our extensive experience of operations at the Graubündner Kantonalbank has definitely stood us in good stead here,” explains Hans Nagel, Director Systems Integration & Banking at T-Systems in Switzerland.
Along with the new solution, new technology also ensures extremely high system stability for Migros Bank: A so-called Real Application Cluster (RAC) provides a high level of standardization and automation with several redundant computer nodes.
