CeBIT: T-Systems demonstrates Life and Work 2.0

Frankfurt am Main, February 19, 2010
From March 2-6, T-Systems is presenting web innovations for work and life at CeBIT. Applications that companies can use to streamline communication and collaboration with their employees, customers and partners will take center stage. The Dresden-based Multimedia Solutions subsidiary will present them in live demos and case studies in the Webciety hall.
The stand illustrates how Deutsche Telekom is getting its employees more involved in the company's further development with cutting-edge web technologies. An innovation portal provides a forum for employees to present their own ideas in videos and develop them with co-workers. Other solutions are available for the areas of knowledge management, microblogging and networking.
Using "Microsoft SharePoint 2010" as an example, the T-Systems subsidiary demonstrates how companies can make better use of existing resources. The old familiar document filing system becomes a social medium on the intranet with team and event pages, advanced search, wikis, blogs and other new functionalities based on SharePoint.
The recently launched "Mobile Concierge" delivers tips and purchase recommendations for cell phone owners' immediate environment. Businesses can use this location-based service to provide information to their customers without investing in new hardware.
The stand also highlights a solution that integrates electricity, gas or water use data into web portals and links them to the websites of utility companies.
