As of January 2012, Jürgen Kappenberger is responsible for the newly created Service Division of T-Systems Switzerland. In this role he becomes a member of the T-Systems Switzerland Management Board. He is responsible for the support and development of all existing customers and for implementing all services agreed with the customers. He is also responsible for portfolio development and for strategic projects in T-Systems Switzerland.

Until March 2012, Jürgen Kappenberger will lead the Production Division, responsible for computing, desktop and telecommunication services.

From September 2008 until the end of 2011, Jürgen Kappenberger was Director ICT Operations, responsible for operating the data centre and for the flexible supply of dynamic SAP and application services. Under his leadership, ICT services such as the Service Desk and desktop and telecommunication services were created.

Prior to that, Jürgen Kappenberger was leader of the international Application Line Automotive and Manufacturing at T-Systems Enterprise Services.

A trained industrial and data processing clerk, he began his long ICT career in the data centre of Mercedes-Benz. He came to T-Systems via debis Systemhaus. His responsibilities in a number of technical and management posts include the consolidation of data centres, the expansion of service management and the internationalisation of delivery capabilities for major customers.
